HAPPY NEW YEAR

May you get laid more this year everyone!

My new year's resolution this year is to write at least 100 posts. I am sorry that last year was a disaster, I didn't take the loss of my father very lightly, I was a mess and I was in no mode writing so I took on drinking instead!

"Mad you need some help man, I think you are becoming an alcoholic and you may be a danger to the riding public!"

Shut up man! I don't need help, I need more of that contraband high shelf liquor I have been getting from my man Ghost.

We welcome our new Mayor of the District of Columbia Mr Vincent Gray and sir please don't forget what you promised, a fare and reasonable pay  for DC cab drivers, and Mr Fenty, don't let that door hit your skinny ass you lying schmuck! I really regret that I knocked on doors for you in ward 7 and 8 when you ran for the office, the hoods that you and some of your cheerleaders scared to go.

Please don't forget the homeless like Mayor Fenty did,

Mad Cabbie

Just keep your head down and stay out of trouble. Trouble might find you if you go looking for it.

Happy New Year to all.

Ah, to-day (2 January) is indeed joyous! His Exalted Supremacy Adri-Amin Felonty is out on the street. That is not quite where he belongs (JAIL was the place that I had in mind), but it it better for us that he is in the street than in the District Building.

What we need immediately, Mr. Gray is a gasolene surcharge and a removal of the socialist fare cap. The last time that the DCTC imposed a gasolene surcharge, regular was $2,31/gallon. When it dropped below three dollars, Supreme People's Taxikab Kommissar Leonid Swainsky used his imagined 'emergency powers' to remove the gasolene surcharge. When it went back above $2,31 I did not see the Supreme Kommissar use any imagined 'emergency powers' to re-impose the surcharge. I did not see the People's Taxikab Kommissariat make any effort to impose a surcharge, either.

Now that Dear Revered Leader Kim il-Fenty is gone, perhaps we can also get rid of his socialist policies. His argument about people's clamouring for lower fares held no water when he made it and it still holds no water. People clamour all the time for lower taxes and fees, but does that ever happen? If the gubbamint can not get a pay cut, why is it that the taxicab drivers can get one?

He listened too much to the Official Organ of the Compulsionist/Socialist Party of the Nanny States of America, better known as the WASHINGTON POST. No wonder that rag endorsed him. Hopefully we will see an end to the Demokratik People's Republik of New Kolumbia now that we no longer have Our Dear Revered Leader.

A propsperous New Year to all the drivers. Stay out of trouble and be safe out there. And would you radio drivers please learn to do something for yourselves and stop expecting the dispatcher to do everything EXCEPT collect the fare?

Oh, and one more thing, Mr. New Mayor......

Since we have representatives from the Hotel and Restaurant Association, an organisation that has been on record as hostile to the cab drivers' interests for over twenty years, as Kommissars on the People's Taxikab Kommissariat, could you please create a Hotel and Restaurant Commission and appoint some cab drivers to it? I will propose my name to chair it.

Our first order of business will be to impose a room rate cap on the hotels of nineteen dollars. Next, we will impose a nineteen dollar meal tab cap on the restaurants. We will do this to promote tourism, an important part of the District's Economy. People will come here in droves if they know that they can stay in the best hotels for no more than nineteen dollars per night and they can eat at the finest restaurants for only nineteen dollars.

Thank you.

I support the $19 room rate cap AND the $19 per meal restaurant cap....that's for breakfast, too, right? Breakfast is getting so expensive, the hens won't lay their eggs unless they get a commission.

So glad you're back in bidness, Mad. We do have two good likker stores out here, although the church-goin' public doesn't like it that they open at 6 a.m. Where will Mad Cabbie and his pals buy their booze when they get off work?

Happy New Year to you as well John, I should have gone to an Irish bar here in DC instead I froze my ass off on a flat bed truck. I have couple Irish bartender frinds, I should have gotten shitfaced with them.

Well said Phil, I can say no more. They won't give you seat on that Panal Phil, because you have to be a dope ass retard to qualify. Hey Phil is business picking up at Diamond? Should I activate my radio? Lately some passengers I pick up off the street complain that no one picks up the phone at diamond, what's going on?
Happy New Year Phil,,,,,,AND PLEASE WRITE IT DOWN SIR!!!

Hi Peggy's mom.....all the good things for you in 2011 young lady!
I buy my booze from my man Ghost for cheap price, don't askl me where he gets it from. The other day I bought a black label Johnny Walker for $20 I asked him if it's the real thing and he said, don't worry that JOHNNY is spelled with a G it's just a typo, just go home and drink that shit. I guess it's the real thing! Those Scotish idots and their spelling¡!!

Hi Moi, Endihum Lanchim Yihun Anche Konjo LiJ!

I hope I got it right, my man Mr Getachew helped me out little bit but I have known Konjo Lig for years. May the new year bring all the happines and health to you and your family. Your intellegent comments are greatly appreciated so don't be a stranger.

Brokemoto, I have a feeling that Vince Gray is going to disappoint us. Besides lifting the $19 cap, I don't see any major fare increase anytime soon. To be honest with you because of that $19 cap we are making more money because we are allowed to reset the meter during multiple stops. If they lift the $19 cap it's going to be continues meter and kiss the $3 reset good bye.

Happy new year mad cabbie. If I were you I will sure have my radio, no matter how slow it gets it does pay for itself if you just take 5 calls a night. I see you are sharpening your Amharic skill. Good job MC.....Peace!
